Before you begin, it is recommended you first reset the device. To do that, long press the Reset button present on the device (for about 8 seconds). Then wait for the LED indicator to start flickering to restore the device to factory settings.

Linksys RE6300 Wi-Fi Extender Setup Instructions
1. Connect the Extender to a Power Source
Position your Linksys Wi-Fi extender within your router’s Wi-Fi range. Then plug it into a wall socket, and wait for the indicator light on the device to turn solid on.
For the first setup, it is recommended you put your router and extender in the same room. When your extender is configured, you can then move it to any location of your choice.
2. Connect to the Extender’s Network
Whether on your mobile phone or computer, search for the extender’s Wi-Fi network and connect to it. Look out for a Wi-Fi network name Linksys Extender Setup. This is the default wireless name of the extender.
3. Open the Web Management Page
Once you connect to the network, open a web browser on your phone or computer. Then type in http://extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Once the Linksys extender screen appears, click Start.
4. Agree and Search for the Network to Extend
The license agreement screen will come up after clicking Start. When you see it, click I agree. Then search for available networks and choose the network you want to extend. Once you have selected the network name or SSID, enter the password, and click Next.
5. Finish Setup
After clicking Next, a confirmation message will be displayed on the screen saying, Your extender is now configured. That means the setup is successful and you can now connect to your network.
Set Up Your Extender Using the WPS Button
Linksys RE6300 Wi-Fi extender comes with a WPS button that enables you to set up the device without a web browser.
Follow the steps below to set up your extender using the WPS button:
1. Power on the Device
Plug your extender into an electrical out—preferably in the same room with your router.
2. Press the WPS
Locate the WPS button on the extender. This is usually on the side panel or at the back of the extender. Now press the button and hold it for about 2 minutes. Within the 2 minutes, also press the WPS button on your router.
3. Finish the Setup
The device will automatically connect with your router, and you will know it as the indicator LED on the extender changes and becomes visible, and then turns solid green.
4. Connect Your Wi-Fi Devices
Connect your Wi-Fi-enabled devices to the Extended Linksys Setup-xxx network. Now, you can enjoy a stronger network even in dead areas in your house.

Is it possible to have more than one Linksys extender on my home Wi-Fi?
Absolutely! You can use multiple Linksys extenders on your home Wi-Fi network. However, you will need to ensure that both extenders will be using the same IP address, which is 192.168.1.1, while setting them up. Also, to avoid confusion, between the names of the network of each extender, you will have to set up one Linksys extender at a time.
