Victure Wi-Fi Extender Setup Guide
In this post, you’ll learn how to set up your Victure Wi-Fi Extender in minutes.
If that sounds like what you’re looking for, let’s dive in!
There are two ways to go about this. You can either do the configuration using the WPS button on the device or through a web browser on your phone or computer. However, regardless of the one you use, it is easy to set up the extender and get it running.
Setting up Your Victure Wi-Fi Extender via a Web Browser
This is the recommended method for setting the Victure Wi-Fi range extender.
It can be used regardless of whether your router has a WPS button. You only need your phone or computer to get it done. Below are the steps to follow to set up the Victure Wi-Fi extender via web UI:
1. Power on the Device
The first thing to do is to plug your Victure extender into a wall socket. Then, wait a few seconds (about 40 seconds) for the LED indicator to light up.
2. Connect with Your Wireless Network
Once the LED is on, connect your Victure extender to your existing wireless network. Look for an SSID named Wireless-XXXX, and the password will be null.
3. Open the Management Page
Once the device is connected, open a web browser on your phone—preferably Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Now enter http://wireless.repeater or 192.168.10.1 in the address bar and click Enter.
4. Log in
Now, you will see the login page requesting that you input your username and password to access the setup page. Input admin in both the space for username and admin, then click Enter.
5. Finish Setup
On the setup page, select your preferred language and click enter. Then go to the settings page to select the Wi-Fi you want to extend. Choose your router’s network and enter the password. Then click Next.
6. Wait for Your Extender to Restart
Once the setup is complete, your extender will automatically restart itself. Now, you can enjoy strong and unhindered network signals all-around your home. No more dead zones!
Setting up the Victure extender Using the WPS button
This method is the easiest and fastest way to set up the extender device. However, not everyone can use it.
If your router does not have the WPS button, you won’t be able to use the method. That means you may need to refer to the first method discussed in this post to set up your Victure Wi-Fi extender.
Below are the steps to follow to set up your Victure Wi-Fi extender using the WPS button:
1. Power on the Device
First, plug your extender into a wall socket and wait a few seconds for the LED indicator to turn on.
2. Extend your Wi-Fi Network
Once the device is on, look for the WPS button on the front part of the device. Now, press and hold the button for about two minutes. At the same time, within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button on your router too.
4. Finish Setup
While still pressing the WPS button, the LED indicator on your extender will start blinking to show that the device has been successfully connected to your router.
5. Relocate the Extender and Connect your Wi-Fi Devices
Relocate your device into an outlet halfway location between your router and the Wi-Fi dead zones. Then connect your Wi-Fi-enabled devices and enjoy it.
Troubleshooting Victure Wi-Fi Extender Connectivity Issues
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot connectivity issues with your Victure Wi-Fi extender:
Check the placement of the extender
Make sure the extender is placed in a central location between your router and the area where you need Wi-Fi coverage. Avoid placing the extender in areas with interference, such as microwaves, cordless phones, or other electronic devices.
Check the signal strength
Use your smartphone or a Wi-Fi analyzer app to check the signal strength of the extender. If the signal strength is weak, try moving the extender to a different location.
Check the firmware version
Check if there’s an available firmware update for your Victure Wi-Fi extender. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix connectivity issues.
Reset the extender
If the above steps don’t work, try resetting the extender. To reset the Victure Wi-Fi extender, locate the reset button on the device. It’s usually located on the back of the extender. Use a paperclip or a small pin to press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds. Release the button once the device restarts.
Reconnect the extender to your network
After resetting the extender, you’ll need to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network. Follow the instructions above to complete the setup process.
If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Victure customer support for further assistance.
