How Does SimpliSafe Work with Smart Locks?

With your smart lock paired to the SimpliSafe system, you can see who is at your door, check your lock status, and lock and unlock your door via the SimpliSafe app.

However, SimpliSafe doesn’t work with all smart locks out there, so you’ll have to get a compatible lock—see our picks above.

As mentioned above, the SimpliSafe system only works with the SimpliSafe Smart Lock and August smart locks (as of now). So, if you’ve purchased any of the compatible locks, you want to connect them to the SimpliSafe system.

Now let’s look at how to integrate the SimpliSafe Smart Lock and August smart locks with the SimpliSafe security system.

  • Then tap System Settings on the home screen of your SimpliSafe Web App.
