Where is the Power Button on Samsung TV? [Solved]
Are you trying to turn on/off your Samsung TV via the power button but are not sure where the button is? You’re not alone!
If you’ve lost your remote, you want to utilize the power button to turn on/off the TV. However, unlike some other television brands, Samsung doesn’t have a defined location for its power button, making it a bit tricky to locate the button.
In this post, I’m going to show you where you can find the power button on your Samsung TV. Let’s dive in!
Here are some of the areas you can find the power button on a Samsung TV:
- Underneath the front right-hand corner of the TV
- Underneath the middle (on the front) of the TV).
- Underneath the front left-hand corner of the TV
- On the back of the TV.
Usually, the power button is placed under the Samsung logo. So, a quick way to find the power button on your Samsung TV is to find the Samsung Logo on the TV and feel your fingers underneath to find the power button — usually a black circle button.
Keep reading as I will explain more details on the location of the power button on Samsung smart TVs.
Where to Find the Power Button on a Samsung TV
Under the Front Right-Hand Corner
One of the places you can find the power button on a Samsung TV is under the front right-hand corner of the TV.
Check right under the receiver indicator that blinks when you press the remote or where you have the Samsung logo. The receiver emits a red or white light on the right side of your TV, so it should be easy to spot.
Feel your fingers underneath to find a circle button — if you can feel any button, that’s the power button for your Samsung TV.
If you don’t find any button in this position, see the next step.
Under the Middle of the TV (front)
Another possible location of the power button on a Samsung TV is under the middle of the TV.
Feel underneath the middle of the TV panel. If you have the Samsung Logo in the middle of the TV, there’s a good chance the power button is there. Feel underneath the logo to see if you can find a circle button.
If you don’t find it here, proceed to the next section, as different models have different locations for the power button.
Under the Front Left-Hand Corner
If you don’t find the power button on the right or middle of the TV, another place to check is the left corner.
Feel your fingers underneath the left side of the TV to see if the power button is there. Remember, it’s a black circle button you can press and release.
Still couldn’t find it? See the next section.
Back Right Side
This is the least place you may think of checking, but if you’ve explored other options and can’t find it, the power button should be here.
Move your TV a little away from the wall and check the back right side with your hands for any small circle button. It should be precisely at the right corner of the rear side of your TV.
If you couldn’t find it on the right, check the back left side of the TV.
Check Your Samsung TV User Manual
If you’ve searched for the power button on all the positions discussed above but are unable to find it, check your user manual.
You should be able to find the exact position of the power button on your Samsung TV in the manual.
If you don’t have the manual, use the e-Manual on your Samsung TV or the user manual online.
Follow the steps below to use the e-Manual on your Samsung TV:
- Go to Menu.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Choose All Settings.
- Hit Support.
- Open the e-Manual guide.
The process might be slightly different across various Samsung TV models, but it definitely will be in Settings > Support > e-Manual.
If your remote control is bad, you can find the user manual online using the model number. You can find the model number for your Samsung TV on the right side or the back of the TV — printed on a white label.
Now, use the model number to search on the Samsung support website to find your user manual.
Wrapping Up
TV power buttons can be helpful when you can’t find the remote control or if the batteries are dead.
Though you can also turn on or off your TV with the Samsung SmartThings app or with a voice assistant.
However, power buttons are more convenient, and spotting them shouldn’t be a hassle at this point. But if you’re still having issues finding it, contact Samsung Support for help.
