Restoring Factory Settings on Your Schlage BE365

Here’s how to do that:

  1. Remove the battery cover. Then disconnect the battery.
  2. On the keypad, press the Schlage button once.
  3. Now reconnect the battery. Then press and hold the Schlage button until the lock beeps and the Schlage button lights green. You must complete steps within 10 seconds, else the lock won’t reset.
  4. If you hear a beep and the Schlage button illuminates green, the reset is successful. However, a red light shows the reset fails—repeat the steps again and ensure you complete the last step in 10 seconds.

If your lock is reset, the default Programming Code is now active, and you can use it to program your lock from now on.

Changing the Programming Code on Your Schlage BE365

  1. Enter the 6-digit default Programming Code to put the lock in programming mode. You’ll hear three beeps, and the Schlage button will turn orange, showing the lock is in Programming Mode.
  2. Now press the Schlage button. Then press the number 3 key. Wait until the Schlage button flashes three times, and you hear three beeps.
  3. Enter your new 6-digit Programming Code. Wait for the Schlage button to flash and beep three times.
  4. Enter your new 6-digit Programming Code again. You’ll hear one long beep, and the Schlage button will turn green, showing that you’ve successfully changed the Programming Code.
