Lockey Digital Door Lock Reset Instructions
If your Lockey Digital Deadbolt is not working properly, resetting it might help resolve the issue.
Also, you want to reset the lock if you’ve lost the Programming Code. Then use the default Programming Code to reprogram the lock.
Keep in mind that resetting the lock will remove all your custom programming, including User Codes and the Programming Code. You’ll need to program the lock as if it’s newly installed after performing the reset.
That said, read on to learn how to factory reset the Lockey Keypad Lock (EB915).
Resetting the Lockey Keypad Deadbolt
Follow the steps below to reset your lock:
- Keep your door open and unlocked.
- Go to the interior assembly of the lock and remove the battery cover.
- You’ll find a small circle button below the battery compartment — labeled R. That’s the Reset button.
- Now press and hold the Reset button (for about 5 seconds) until you hear 3 long beeps. You may need to use a pin to press the button.
- Once you hear the 3 long beeps, the reset is complete.
After resetting the lock, you’ll need to reprogram it.
The first thing you need to do is to run the door-handling identification process — to teach the lock the orientation of your door — whether it’s a right or left-handed door.
Note that your lock may not work properly if you skip this step. Now keep reading to learn how to do this and other programming.
Door Handing Identification Process
Follow these steps to perform the door handing identification:
- Enter the default Programming Code (0000).
- Press the LOCKEY button.
- Press 0 and press the LOCKEY button.
- The lock will flash green twice, followed by two long beeps. This shows the programming is successful.
- The door handing identification process is complete.
Changing the Default Programming Code
Next, you’ll need to change the default Programming Code for security reasons. The default Programming Code is 0000.
Here’s how to change the default Programming Code:

- Press 4 and press the LOCKEY button.
- Enter a new Programming Code (4-10 digits). Then press the LOCKEY button.
- You’ll see green flashes and hear 2 long beeps, meaning the new Programming Code is now active.

A User Code for this lock is a 4–10 digit code that allows you to unlock your door through the keypad. You can add up to 6 User Codes.
Here’s how to add a User Code:

- Press 1 and press the LOCKEY button.

- Enter your Programming Code and press the LOCKEY button.
- Press 3 and press the LOCKEY button.
- The lock will flash green and beep twice, meaning all the User Codes have been deleted.
Note that keypad locking/unlocking will be inactive if all the User Codes are removed. You can only use the physical key to lock and unlock the door during this time — until a new User Code is added.
Enabling/Disabling Auto-Lock
If you want the lock to automatically lock your door after a few seconds — when it’s unlocked, you can turn on auto lock.
Here’s how to enable auto-lock:
