LINGANZH Smart Plug Not Connecting to Wi-Fi: Try These Troubleshooting Tips
1. Ensure Your Wall Outlet Has Received Power
The first thing to do if you’re having difficulties connecting your plug to Wi-Fi is to check and ensure the wall outlet where you plugged your smart plug has power. If the wall outlet hasn’t received power, your smart plug won’t receive power, and that means the app can’t find it, let alone connect.
So check that the wall outlet is working and ensure your Plug has received power. Next, long-press the Power button until the LED indicator starts blinking rapidly—it takes a few seconds. If it’s blinking rapidly, it shows the plug is in setup mode, so you can proceed with connecting it to Wi-Fi via the app on your phone.
If everything is correct, you should complete the setup in a few minutes. But if you’re still having trouble connecting the plug to your home Wi-Fi, continue to the next step.
2. Check the Wi-Fi Network Band
The LINGANZH Smart Plug only supports the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. If your router or Wi-Fi is running on a 5 GHz network band, your Smart plug won’t connect to it.
So check your router settings and ensure you switch to the appropriate network band.
Note: Switching a Wi-Fi network band may be tricky depending on your router. If you have a dual-band router, you can probably switch the network band through the Wi-Fi settings. Refer to your router’s user manual for more details on that.
3. Increase Your Wi-Fi Network Signal
If you have a poor network connection, your Smart plug may have issues connecting to Wi-Fi. First off, you need to check your Wi-Fi network signal and ensure it is strong.
To do this, check the network bars indicator on your router or phone—usually four or five curved lines/bars. The higher or filled the curve or bars are, the higher the network signal strength. If you have fewer bars, it means your Wi-Fi signal is low—try moving your router closer to the plug to improve the network signal strength.
You can also find an elevated place or somewhere close to the window, as the location of your Wi-Fi router has a big impact on the strength of its signal. You can also get a Wi-Fi extender to boost the signal strength.
4. Ensure Your Router Is Not Overloaded
The performance of your router may reduce as more devices are connected to it. What this means is, connecting too many devices to your router at the same time can cause connectivity issues.
You may have to occasionally reconnect devices competing for your network’s bandwidth. Check to see the number of devices connected to your router and disconnect some to create space for your Smart Plug.
If needed, reset your router or change the password. This will automatically disconnect all devices connected to it.

- Download the app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store (if you don’t already have it on your phone). Next, create an eFamilyCloud account or sign in if you already have an existing account.
- Plug your Smart Plug into a working outlet and ensure it receives power. If the indicator isn’t blinking rapidly, press and hold the Power button until it blinks rapidly.
- Next, return to the app and tap the plus symbol (+) in the top right-hand corner. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your device. Make sure you enter your correct Wi-Fi password and your Wi-Fi should be on a 2.4 GHz network band.
